Why do police officers tend to get away with everything with their crimes?

Umm, ... because they're cops and above the law? That's the way it looks anyway. In their world, wearing a badge gives them the right to pull over innocent men of color because they are driving an expensive car, or just standing on the corner chatting with friends. And taking you claim up with the bureau that is suppose to investigate corrupt cops does no good, because they are cops THEMSELVES and stick up for each other!
