Which one is better ... Knott's berry farm or Disneyland?

I would definately say knott's is better for someone your age. Disneyland is fun, but alot of the fun is from the themed nature and layout of the park. Knott's definately has much better rides and roller coasters. Also, Disneyland had some buy killed on Thunder Mountain Railroad a couple years back too, and then two others on the boat to tom sawyer island a long time ago. Either way, the car ride to get to either one is probably 1000x more dangerous than any of their rides.
