Aviane - When do I get my period and when do I start a new packet?

I'm on aviane and this is my first month. I started on a Sunday, which almost coincided with the end of my period last month. Now I'm on my fourth sugar pill and I just got my period today. Was I supposed to have my period as soon as I started on the sugar pills or is this okay? Also, do I have to wait for my period to finish before starting a new packet, or do I just start this Sunday even though my period might not be over yet? Thanks a lot!
